Maybe you already draw, or are curious, or haven’t done it for a while, or just want to try something different. All reasons are good ones to come to class, which is a welcoming space for experiment, play, and finding out. You’ll find out things about drawing, about your body, places of calm, and make friends. In our fast moving world, we don’t get much time to sit and focus. I am told over and over that my classes are a relaxing break from work, social media, or whatever else is filling up your calm space.
In class we will do lots of exercises that are experimental, fun, and everyone can do them. My classes are inclusive and welcoming, and if you can move in any way, you can draw!
We all create original work by using our unique bodies, to move around materials like charcoal, water colour pencils, pencils and collage. My particular love is charcoal, an ancient material that lends itself to process based drawings. It’s just dust, we move it around, keep looking, and keep changing it up. I have developed an art and teaching practice that is about acceptance, trial and error, and finding out together.
It’s fun, come join us!
