Queer and trans* drawing class

FULL CLASS- message me to go on the list for next time!

Up next!

We always have such a good time with this class. It’s wonderful to build community in a gentle way, while doing something together. We make drawings that are experiments – playful learning about materials, and then move into drawing a model.

“As someone who has attended these classes, I cannot recommend the experience enough! It has been completely outside my comfort zone, but the way Sian runs the classes makes all involved feel so welcome, and so very capable. A big thank you to Sian Torrington and a strong encouragement to those considering getting involved.”

There are a few places left – see below for details, and get in touch to book your spot!

Queer and Trans* drawing class

– Thursday August 27th, 6 – 8pm for 6 weeks, at Toi Poneke

7 free places for unwaged and low waged people, and 7 paid places.

This is a queer and trans* drawing class. It’s about finding ways to be in our body and let it speak through drawing. It’s about representing ourselves, and finding a place in a whakapapa of queer and trans* artists to keep us strong and lift us up. It’s about seeing ourselves, and being ourselves.

It will be fun, expressive, welcoming and you don’t have to know anything about drawing! All materials will be provided.

6 weeks running 6 – 8pm weekly at Vincent’s Art Workshop, Willis St

8 paid places – $260.00 all materials and model fees included

Class hold 16 people with easels for all, wonderful models, and as always, expressive, exciting exercises.
